02.26.16Current Musical Doings

These days I'm playing drums every Friday with Jake Blackshear and friends (mostly jazz tunes) at Woods Bar and Brewery in downtown Oakland from 5 - 8 pm and playing trombone every Sunday with Electric Squeezebox Orchestra at Doc's Lab in San Francisco from 6:30 - 9pm.

Other current projects include 3 reggae bands including the 10 piece Pavlov's Band, the 5 piece Reggae on the Radio, and the 3 piece Junior Reggae. I'm playing bass in all of those groups.

I'm also working regularly with Oakland brass band Brass Magic and have recently started working with songwriter Jesse Rimler.

I have a new record out with a project I lead called Disappear Incompletely. We play electrojazz arrangements of the music of Radiohead.

I've also been working with drummer/composer Britt Ciampa in his original jazz project Britt Ciampa Hugs You. A debut album should be out soon.

Other regular collaborations include Les Gwan Jupons (vintage Caribbean party music) and the Marcus Shelby Orchestra, who I've greatly enjoyed working with since 2009.

Hope to see you at a show somewhere around the Bay Area!
